Default Lets get all the small bugs fixed

I don't understand why Sugar continues to have hundreds of small bugs when the company continues to pump out more functionality and new release. It seems the company does not care about the basics.

I'm sure you too have encountered a number of small issues, that have not been fixed that are really trivial to patch. An example for us was the export of a target list did not include the contacts Title. I'm not a programmer by trade, but even I was able to find the issue and patch it in my self-hosted test instance in about 15 min.

However since we run hosted Sugar I had to wait until this was fix by Sugar. It took about 4 months, many emails to Sugar and several upgrades to get this fixed.

In many cases these minor bugs either have code patch provided with the bug, or can be easily found. Why doesn't sugar hire a few junior programmers, even summer interns, to fix these issues.

How about sugar have a have regular "clean up" day, say once each month, where support asks clients what minor bugs irritate them most, then knock of the top ten. In my experience this would drives significant customer satisfaction and is very quick and easy to do.

I can completely understand the frustration. Glad to hear the issues are being resolved, but I imagine there are more; feel free to let me know what they are so I can help get them escalated.

We actually have an entire team that is completely dedicated to our bug fix backlog. This team has made it possible to turn out bug fix releases once each month.

We actually also recently did this, where we had our Support team paired with our engineering to help them see the common issues that customers are running into and having them sprint on ways to resolve them. We plan to do this more often as it's helping bring our customer use cases to our engineering team to help them build a better product.
