Microsoft Word Plugin

I think a great add-on to SugarCRM for customers as well as an additional revenue generator for the company would be the introduction of a Microsoft Word Plugin to allow easy integration with SugarCRM so that users can input database fields from Sugar into custom Microsoft word templates. In addition it would be great to be able to easily print labels from Sugar for single and multiple contacts as well.

I am an open source user who has been very happy with the purchase of the Microsoft Outlook Plugin and think there would be great potential for an Official SugarCRM Microsoft Word Plugin as well.

Just a thought.

I have seen Zuckerreports but I find it to be much too complex for my needs.

Mr. Milk's Document Merge module looks like exactly what I am looking for though. I am currently working to try to get it operating properly, it seems as though the installation is not as straight forward as it appears to be. (for non-programmer types)

I will post the results of my installation when I get them, so other people going through the same problem will avoid some of the pitfalls I have stumbled upon.

I still think it would be a great idea for Sugar to sell their own official word plugin with detailed documentation. If anything they should buy and build off of Mr. Milk's plugin and give him a cut of the action.

I've been evaluating Zucker reports lately and although it is not a tool for end users I've found it useful in some circumstances.
