Multi-country-same database

Hello everyone,

Im looking for a way to configure sugar with the following structure.

Company A has operations in country 1 and country 2. Company A wants to use the same db for both countries.

Country 1 operations are different from country 2, so the users cant see, edit or export data from a different country.

I´ve been trying to set up role restrictions, but i cant do it with a country structure.

Bottom line, i want to setup both countries in my db, but users can access only their country information and contacts.

Any suggestions?

With role security, you can set it up so that only the assigned user of a record can view, modify, export etc records that are assigned to them. So if you only want to make it so that users can only see and modify only their records from their country that are assigned to them, then you can do so with roles.

However, if you want userA to see all records from country2, even the ones not specifically assigned to him, then you will also need Team security. With Teams, you would be able to designate a team for all records, and only users who belong to that team would be able to see that record in the system. You could also use Roles on top of teams.

Team security is only available with Sugar Pro and Ent. You have a few options. There are some Team plugins available for Sugar CE which you can try, or you could have this functionality custom built for your instance. There are also a few other crm options available that include Team security. We would be more than happy to discuss all these options with you if you are interested.
