    Default Sugar & Asterisk integration

    Hi Everyone,

    Does anyone know of a feature that will pop up a window with CRM information upon incoming call?

    Invox can help you popup customer's information from Sugar CRM during an active call. It can also show location in google apps and reverse411 data.

    I just sent you a PM. Please check

    Also see the Kinamu/abcona Open Asterisk Connector on SugarForge. It handles both incoming popup calls and outgoing click to dial features and more.

    I'm not familar with Invox, so I cannot compare them.

    Hi,

    If you are still looking to implement this feature, then I think that solution on Asterisk and QuickBooks integration — Sugar Dialer — by Richlode Solutions is what you need.

    It has the following features:

    - Handle all incoming and outgoing calls in SugarCRM;
    - Call any number from SugarCRM with just one click;
    - Caller info pop-up window for incoming call generated with Sugar data if the phone number already exists in any lead, contact or account;
    - New incoming phone numbers can be easily processed to a lead, contact or account;
    - Every incoming or outgoing call is automatically logged and recorded into SugarCRM according to its standards and attached to the corresponding account/ lead/ account;
    - Each call record can be downloaded as a file from SugarCRM;
    - Works perfectly both with landlines (with SIP-functions) and softphones;
    - Integration with IP-PBX Asterisk;
    - Any incoming call is registered in SugarCRM and attached to the history of the corresponding account/ lead/ account - even if the user is not logged in;
    - Fully compatible with all standard SugarCRM modules;
    - Fully supported for all Sugar Editions: Community, Professional, Enterprise, Corporate, Ultimate.

    If you are interested, and for more details, please contact products @ richlodesolutions.com or visit the product page at our website.

    The Sugar world needs a Complete 2012 Reviews Overviews Comparisons of all the Sugar-Asterisk Integrations - pricing, features, quality/reliability.

    Both paid and free modules.

    Liz, Kinamu, Richlode, Invox, there's about 10 of them.

    Anybody want to give it a try ?

    I gave a review about a year ago of everything... here: Trixbox and SugarCRM

    I was pretty frustrated with all the solutions which is what got me involved as a contributor on the Kinamu solution. It's the best and free. Reliability is still a work in progress. But, nothing a cron job to restart the asteriskLogger couldn't fix. Give it a try! Really want to get some feedback on the latest version I posted recently.

    Hi Blake,

    Great minds think alike.

    A) I'll install your latest version recently posted of YAAI, and post my feedback.

    B) It's nice to have not only a record of WHO called WHEN, but also WHAT was said during the call...

    1) Does YAAI automatically save/attach the call recording inside Sugar, for convenient future playback ?
    I'll answer my own question. It doesn't.

    2) Does YAAI "relate" those call recordings to the any of the Target, Contact, Lead, or Account records (by matching the phone number).. ?
    No it doesn't handle call recordings, but it does generate a call record and lets you enter some call notes.

    EDIT: I want to end up with a full-blown FEATURE MATRIX chart of all 12 Sugar-Asterisk Integration products.

    Hey Chris,

    Checkout the github project I created for yaai.
    https://github.com/blak3r/yaai/wiki/_pages

    There are screenshots, user manuals, and a project todo list page.

    The TODO list has various features that could be added and some thoughts about how to do it. Personally, I'm kind of hoping more community members will get involved with the project and add features like recording. Asterisk solutions generally run around $100/user/year... If you consider the savings of going with Kinamu, and invest in extending the project... it's a win for everyone.

    Adding recording I believe will require editing dial plans and agi scripts. One of the nice ways about how yaai is there are a lot less moving parts.

    As for making the matrix... that'd be great. Most of the 12 can be eliminated b/c of no sugar 6 support... or complete lack of features. If I was you, I'd checkout Richlode... when I looked at them December of 2010 their solution wasn't ready for primetime. Lots of bugs and interface had lots of issues and didn't work well in multiple tabs... but their sales team was very responsive and maybe it's better now. I never looked at Invox.

    THanks Blake, I looked at the github today and yesterday.

    I probably have a very clean solution for adding call recording. Will look into it some more tomorrow. Also, I've got the html code necessary for doing an onscreen player, so you can listen to the call recording inside your browser.

    I watched the 3 Richlode youtube demo videos that demonstrate their Sugar Dialer product (similar to YAAI/Kianumu).
    Did you see these? Here they are, for convenience.
    Sugar Dialer by Richlode Solutions (1) - Outgoing Call - YouTube
    Sugar Dialer by Richlode Solutions (2) - Incoming Call with a new number - YouTube
    Sugar Dialer by Richlode Solutions (3) - Incoming Call with an existing number - YouTube

    THeir popup offers, in one screen, 4 tabs:
    1) let user click to create a new Lead, Contact, or Account record, or display the existing record.
    2) Access your Calendar - to check when you're free/busy,
    3) Create a new Note related to the lead/contact/account,
    4) Create a new Task related to the lead/contact/account.

    Is it possible to add 1,2, and 4 to the YAAI popup?

    Yeah I've seen them. Their UI seems really obtrusive in those videos it replaces the entire screen... From my conversations with them they do a lot of customizations for each user to make it fit their business processes. So, it's certainly a good solution if you have very particular needs or even want to limit the options a call taker has.

    Another Plus for them is they do Leads also... yaai just does Contacts at this point. Could be extended to do leads also it's just twice the querying.

    I think our sales people really like how the chat window style gets out of your way and makes it easy to leave notes which is what is most important to them. In Sugar6 you have quick create buttons already at the top of the page.

    ----

    #1 is at the top of my list of features I'd like to add. If the number isn't detected, there should be a button next to it to either create a new or associate with existing contact.

    #2 Nothing is stopping you from opening multiple windows to view your calendar in another window.

    #3 - Already done

    #4 - I figure if you want to create a task/meeting or anything else... then use the quick create buttons already available in sugar6 along the top. Use the screen pop to go to the contact record and then click one of those buttons. But, it's not impossible to customize the UI... I'm thinking the template HTML should be customizable.
