    Default Update TinyMCE Please

    Hello,

Will you be updating TinyMCE for the emails template module?

I currently use SugarCRM Professional version 6.1 and the current version of TinyMCE is quite old:

    About TinyMCE
    Version: 3.2.1.1 (2008-11-27)

We use a newer version of TinyMCE in wordpress and it really helps with user acceptance.

Agreed. It would also be nice to be able to use ckeditor (http://ckeditor.com)

Agreed. There are several bugs about this too.
Specifically if using it with Safari or Google Chrome.

I second (or fourth) that. Especially when you copy content in the email field it alters the HTML in an ugly way.

We are thinking about moving away from TinyMCE in the future and standardizing on the YUI Rich Text Editor. Thoughts?

As long as it accepts code written in Dream Weaver CS5 well. That is the most frustrating part about the old TinyMCE it does not work well with code built in Dreamweaver.

Just wanted to add that I'm also having problems with TinyMCE using Chrome. Against my will I'm having to recommend IE to clients who use Sugar as main email editor.
The issues we are having are with formatting text (colors, formats, styles, etc)

A solution would be very welcome!

Which version of Sugar and which version of Chrome are you seeing this behavior on?

It's still a problem even in 6.1.x versions (if that's why you're asking).

Safari has the same issues as chrome. I suspect it's related to WebKit.

I think things improved a bit with 6.1.0 release... but things like font-size are definitely still problems in the latest versions of chrome and safari.
