Default View all members of a member group

Currently CRM supports member groups, and you can assign people to them, but it doesn't seem like there is any way once you go to the Group account the people are a member of to find out who is actually a member of it. For example, if you had a Vendor account and then had all the vendors as members of that account s a member organization, then it would be nice to be able to see all the members of it.

We just got sugar and I'm trying to dod the same thing, but there does not seem to be a way to seach, or report based on "member of". This seems strange since it is a very important relationship, which is presented when accounts are created. Have you been able to do this?

    Thanks

I haven't worked with Sugar for about 6 months, but I'll look at it again later tonight to see if we have found a way.

I don't think there is a way without coding changes. You can go to the "Vendor" Account and in the subpanel for members see all the members but not sure if you can do anything useful with it... e.g. send email or some such task across the whole group.

I want to create Account groups: Vendors, Advertisers, Resellers, etc. The problem is the system supports many to many relationships between accounts and contacts in the database but the ui hard wires a one to many relationship.

I tried creating a custom field that has a multi-select list to allow accounts and contacts to be tag as one or more account types but unfortunately this is not sortable or indexable so it limits its use.

Please post if you find more information.

    cheers
