    Default weighted pipeline

    Hi
We are running 6.0 and I would like to calculate a weighted sales pipeline based on % likelihood of opportunities closing. Does such a dashlet exist? If yes, how can we get it?

    Thanks

In our KINAMU reporter you can freely calculate and evaluate fields just for reports. The premium version also supports Dashlets (Charts and reports)

    regards, christian.

Tried your KINAMU module but there is still no weighted_amount in Opportunities field

I have community 6 edition... could this be the reason?

    Figured it out myself.
I installed SolCRM by AlineaSol_Sales v2.2 and that installed the weighted plugin

It also installs the weighted plugin into graphs with no need to install KINAMU, although that app is also very sweet!

As mentioned in my other post I do not believe that it is good practice to have a db field that is called weigthed amount and calculate this in a logic hook. This is especially fun if you add multiple value fields to an opportunity or if you try to install this in an instance that already has opportunities created ...

All reasons why we created the KReporter fields that calculate dynamically when a report is executed. This ensures accuracy and a clean Datamodel.

There are many good reasons to calculate fields automatically, specially because this is the main way to get SugarCRM apply its standard tricks to them. An Christian points out, there are of course drawbacks. You just have to balance where your needs are.

In any case, AlineaSol Sales does a bit more that just use the logic hooks ;-).
