Hello Uchida-san,
I know I emailed you before on this issue but I'm still having the same problems installing the Japanese Language Pack for SugarCRM 4.2.0a. I was hoping maybe someone ran into the same issue and may know a fix for this.
When trying to install through the module loader I get the following error (please keep in mind I am new to my linux which is the platform this is on)...
Warning: copy(/home/roadwar/public_html/office/./include/language/ja.lang.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/roadwar/public_html/office/modules/Administration/UpgradeWizard_commit.php on line 208
Could not copy file /home/roadwar/public_html/office/cache/upload/upgrades/temp/hcFRja/./include/language/ja.lang.php to /home/roadwar/public_html/office/./include/language/ja.lang.php
I have gone through and did chmod 777 to just about everything I can think of and I still get this error. The line 208 mention in the error is this...
208 if( !copy( $src_file, $dest_file ) ){
209 die( "Could not copy file $src_file to $dest_file" );
Does anyone have a clue as to what I can do to get this installed? Is there a manual way of installing without using the module loader or is that not recommended?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Kind Regards,
Ed Weaver

I think SugarCRM is run by an Apache user, but the directories are owned by another user. Could you check if the owner of SugarCRM directories as same as the Apache user?
Hello Uchida-san,
I went through and saw that some file/dir had "nobody" listed as the owner of the file so I went through and set everything to be owned by user "roadwar" which is the username for that account. I do have root access so I can make all the changes that are needed. I tried to install again by using the module loader but I am getting the same error message as before.
Is there something else I can try or verify?
Kind Regards,
Ed
Hi,
Is the user same as the Apache user?
Hello again Uchida-san,
I went and did a chmod 777 on everything and was able to install the Japanese language pack. However I'm wide open right now so I need to lock down some things. However I'm still having a few issues. Does your company in Japan do any type of support for SugarCRM? If not can you recommend a company? I need to get this finished for a client of mine in Omiya.
They only wanting to use the CRM for email and contact managment so most of the modules will be disabled. However right now I'm having some email issues.
Kind Regards,
Ed
