Search Contact Popup window

hello guys.
i am a newbie of SugarCRM and i was tasked to customize the Search Contact popup.
I need to add my customized fields as filters for this window to be used for searching.

Unfortunately, customizing the popups is not part of the Wizard Studio.

How can I customize this popup? Please help me guys!!!

thank you for the forum you referred me to...

it really help me a lot...

however, only half of my actual problem was solved...since we can now add custom fields as filters for
searching, we might as well "abuse" this feature..

anyways, how can we modify the WHERE clause when querying to the database using the custom fields
we added???

for example:
1) SELECT ... WHERE custom_field1 = 'xxx' OR custom_field1 = 'yyy'
2) SELECT ... WHERE custom_field1 = 'xxx' AND custom_field2 = 'yyy'

can we modify the sql query of SugarCRM in this way?
can we add other words in the WHERE Clause such as LIKE, AND, OR, etc???

please help me...thank you in advance!
