Default Adding an advanced search field in Contacts

    Hi

I'm new to developing for SugarCRM, which a client of mine uses.

All I have to do is add a field to the Contacts "advanced search" form to allow them to search on job title (contacts.title in the db).

Please could anyone give me a clue as to how to go about this without just hacking about? I would assume there's a "correct" way to make such a mod. I'm a bit reluctant to get deeply involved in learning how to develop for SugarCRM as I do not plan to develop much for it, I only need to support a client who doesn't use it very much and has simple needs...

Thanks in advance for any help!
    Tim

    Hi,

Great! That sounds good. I have now discovered what Sugar Studio is, but how do I get it? It isn't obvious from the site, clicking "buy now" just takes me to the page to buy a full version of Sugar. I have the open source version of Sugar installed on one of our servers, will that be a problem?

Just found it, ignore previous post! I imagined it was a standalone application not part of Sugar itself. d'oh.

    Cheers

    Hi john sir,
I need to add a advanced search field in contact for "Course" , where

Contact is related to Opportunity (Contact ----> opportunity (one to many))

Opportunity is related to Contact(Opportunity ----> Contact (many to many))

Coures is related to Opportunity (Course -----> Opportunity (one to many))

Opportunity is related to course (no relation)

is it possible ? if no tell me a solution to do same .

    Anes
