Default custom function on email field under accounts module

    Hi Friends,

In accounts module edit view , I have email field .
I have one function which changes the display as eg: "ashXXX@test.com" in detail view although in database its saves as "ashexp@test.com"

When I edit the record , the email field is displaying as "ashexp@test.com" and I am not able to use the function in editview and display as "ashXXX@test.com" but its works for detail view.

I have function which check if X is present save the old email address else change....

For custom email field its working, as under account the field is as relationship field this problem is occuring.

    Any suggestion will do...........

I am using sugarversion 6.4.x let me know in case of any other info required.

    Regards,
    Ashok

    Hi...Ashok
I think you need to apply function on after_retrieve logic hook.
You have to modify email object possibly there..

    Hi,
Try in include/SugarEmailAddress/SugarEmailAddress.js....In this you can add custom function.

    Hi,

You need to write simple js or jquery script in view.edit.php of Accounts module to accomplish this.

Please let us know your response.

    Cheers

    Hi Priyanka22,

This would be a non-upgrade safe, I couldn't check yet , if you wants to try , try in custom folder. which will be an upgrade safe.
