De-duplicating leads :"Database failure. Please refer to sugarcrm.log for details."

I'm running Community Edition Version 6.4.4

Getting an error when De-duplicating leads :

"Database failure. Please refer to sugarcrm.log for details."

When I look at the .log file, it appears to be a problem in the time settings?

Anyone know how to fix this?

My log file details,

"Wed Jan 23 05:00:43 2013 [22086][-none-][FATAL] Configuration variable date.timezone is not set, guessed timezone America/Chicago. Please set date.timezone="America/Chicago" in php.ini!"
