Question Display sum of fields from subpanels

    Hello,

I need some help on how to do this. I am new to SugarCRM and was having a hard time on how to solve my problem. I hope someone can help me on this.

Here's the description of what I need to do:

    1. I have a parent module which displays 3 subpanels
    2. The subpanels have sub-total, taxes and grand total fields
    3. Get the sum of all sub totals, taxes and grand total and display it to the detail view of the parent module.

The problem i s if I create a new item or payment using quick create, the data in the parent module's detail view is not updated unless you refresh the page. But when I create a new module through editview, it works fine.

BTW, I'm using Sugar 4.5.1g on LAMP

    Thanks.

Maybe I am too late, but you should have a look here : Calculated sum of 2 fields
Andopes explains that you should replace the parameter "before_save" by "after_retrieve" in your logic_hook.
    (Well, I don't speak Portuguese, that's just what I understood ).

I hope that will help you,
    Arnaud.
