Thread: get_entry_list for Administration returns Database failure

    Default get_entry_list for Administration returns Database failure

    We are trying to use get_entry_list to qeury the "Administration" module. We are not specifying a where clause.
    When we query "Administration", we receive:

    "Database failure. Please refer to sugarcrm.log for details."

    The SugarCRM log file contains: "Error retrieving Administration list: Query Failed: SELECT config.* FROM config where config.deleted=0 LIMIT 0,1001: MySQL error 1054: Unknown column 'config.deleted' in 'where clause' ""ForecastOpportunities"

    Again, we did not specify a where clause, so it appears the where clause that fails is inserted by the Sugar API. What can we do to be able to retrieve objects from the Administration module?

    Blake,

    I have created case 141102 which is viewable via the Support Portal. An engineer will review this case and update you as soon as possible.

    Thank you,

    Hello Blake,

    The method get_entry_list() is designed to be used to retrieve beans (records) from the database. The Administration module has no database side records, therefore there is nothing for get_entry_list() to return. That it is returning the MySQL error is expected.

    As for using get_entry_list() with ForecastOpportunities, I'm able to reproduce the error you encountered and have filed a new Defect. You can track this item #63139 using the following link: Open Source Feature Request and Issue Database | SugarCRM.com English (Americas) We have escalated the Defect so our Engineering Team works to resolve it as quickly as possible. Please use the link to monitor our progress.

    When we call "get_available_modules", the returned JSON response for the Administration module is:

    {
    "module_key" : "Administration",
    "module_label" : "Administration",
    "favorite_enabled" : false,
    "acls" : [{
    "action" : "edit",
    "access" : true
    }, {
    "action" : "delete",
    "access" : true
    }, {
    "action" : "list",
    "access" : true
    }, {
    "action" : "view",
    "access" : true
    }, {
    "action" : "import",
    "access" : true
    }, {
    "action" : "export",
    "access" : true
    }
    ]
    }

    As you can see, the "action: list" access value is true. If this module cannot be called using "get_entry_list", I'd expect a false value. Are we interpreting the meaning of "action: list" incorrectly?
