How to add a new field? (no custom field)

Hi I need add a new field to Leads and Contact modules. I don´t want create a custom field because when I convert Lead the data on custom fied don´t pass to Contact register.

Can you help me?

Hello lahb80,

If you create a custom field in the Contacts module with an identical name, it should automatically carry over during a lead conversion. Even if you add a field without going through the custom fields framework, you'd have to write some code to add it to the lead conversion process.

Hey, I am pulling data in from a CSV into the leads tab --

Created custom lead fields for the mapping process, but after the import only
the Sugar standard fields are there. Do I need to alter the Lead Tab with the new
fields also? That seems like a lot of work (inputting the custom fields for the import) and
then the data not showing up. Where did I go wrong???????
