Default How to implement multiple customization layers in a SugarBean

    Hi,
In working with the Module Builder, I can see how it creates {modulename}_sugar.php and {modulename}.php files, and the any customizations should be added to the {modulename}.php file. I am a software development company that wants to create additional packages and modules, many with additional logic needed, where I would take advantage of this hierarchy/inheritance approach. If I have a client who wants to make ADDITIONAL customizations that would affect base SugarBean function, OR would affect changes that I have made in the {modulename}.php file, how would I instruct my client to do this? I envision a structure similar to

{modulename}.php - has functions that inherit from:
{modulename}_MyCompany.php - has functions that inherit from:
    {modulename}_sugar.php

In the scenario described above, my client may want to override functions I have overridden in {modulename}_MyCompany.php, or they may want to override functions in the {modulename}_sugar.php file.

Is there a way to support this?

    Thank you

    Randy Johnson

SugarCRM is very flexible and allows customizations to both core modules and modules created by others.
There is so much that can be said on this topic and it can't all be covered in a forum.... start here, find your version of SugarCRM and go from there:

    Hope this helps
