question about css of a sugar instance

I had the task of upgrading some 20 instances of SugarCRM from version 4.2.1d to a version that supports php 5.3.2 exactly, which is the php version of my new server. So, I upgraded to 6.1.7 sugar.

I tell you how I did: First I tried to upgrade from my instance of sugar 4.2.1d (with all data) slowly (4.2.1-to-4.5.1, 4.5.1-to-5.0.0i ... .) but then I found a lot of errors and warnings that would not let me update

So I decided to install a new and empty sugarcrm 4.2.1d to connect it with my bd 4.2.1d sugarcrm instance in order to keep all my data. From there, I tried to gradually upgrade (4.2.1-to-4.5.1, 4.5.1-to-5.0.0i ....) and now I was able to upgrade to version 6.1.7 of sugar Say that for the sugars that they had little data, I decided to install from scratch a sugarcrm 6.1.7 version directly, and put the few data manually. In this way I saved something tedious updating ...

Now comes my question: Is it possible to retrieve css style, themes, of my sugarcrm 4.2.1d instance for version 6.1.7? Or on the contrary the only possible way would be to manually styling, because different versions of sugar?

I don't think that it is possible to take css settings from 4.x version into 6.x. I don't know version 4 but I tried to use 5.x themes in 6.x and this didn't work.

Just a minor thought: As you are in upgrading right now, why not upgrade to 6.3 or at least 6.2? Or maybe to 6.4 if nothing breaks. You are doing upgrades now anyway the one more shouldnt bother.

We have some customers who need sugarcrm working everyday, and recently we moved to a new server (its php version is 5.3.2), but we found the problem these sugars don't work in the new server due to the php version (blank screen were shown) So the most important to us was to fix sugarcrm in order to the customers could work with their sugar.
