updating module's feature using manifest file

Hi,

sugarCRM application is having a custom module invoice. I can't edit the folders,files and code of application. I am using CE6.0.0

Now i want to add some new fields and a new item in menu.
How can i add new features in the module. I am trying using manifest file but i don't know how to use this technique .
Please any body give me some idea how to proceed .

To add new fields you don't have to change the manifest.php file.
You have to modify the varchar.php file, and the include the new fields on layouts (detailview, editview, listview, and so on)

Hi,

problem is that i can't access the application code.
so i have to write code in a new file and update the code in existing file in application.Because the application is on cloud.
