Can't Edit / Add Avatar

Hi,

I was poking around the forums and thought I would edit my profile while I patiently wait the release of 4.5.1.

I came across, Edit Avatar, and thought, that would be cool. But when I got there, there seemed to be no Upload file button and the only radio button that read "Do not use Avatar" could not be turned off.

Must you be a SugarTeamMember to have an Avatar or is there something wrong here?

Not that it's a big deal. I was just wondering, while, as I've already said, I anxiously await the RELEASE OF 4.5.1.

Hi tbivans, thanks for your patience ... Release 4.5.1 is GA now!!

Regarding avatars, we disable them in general. We didn't want our forums to take on a consumerish look that can sometimes occur when avatars are freely available to everyone.

Our Prolific Posters, who exceed 200 posts, are afforded the opportunity to have their profile pictures displayed as avatars. Occasionally I'll update avatars with pics provided in Prolific Posters' profiles. The Members List shows many members who have reached this milestone. Some members don't play, like stevec who continues his mysterious ways and still refuses to give us a snapshot even though he long ago exceeded Prolific Poster status and has since achieved the ranks of Sugar Hero.
