Question Email address being exposed by the forum

I have posted the details of a problem I am having in the Outlook Plugin forum, and I noticed that my forum 'username' is the same as my email address. The User Control Panel seems to have no option for changing this, even though I also have another forum account ('wrightbyname') for which I was (obviously) able to have a different username than my email address.

Is there any way that I can change this, or do you make use of any anti-harvesting techniques to stop email addresses from being spammed to death? I notice that lots of users' email addresses are displayed in this way, both in the 'currently online' forum footer (I appreciate I can make myself 'invisible' here) and in the details of who has made a posting.

I should note that this account was created as I paid for the Outlook plugin, and hence I was not given the choice of choosing my profile's username for this account.
