Default This Man's Sugar Gone Sour

I figured I might as well let the team know why I declined Sugar.

After first experimenting with Sugar, it seemed nice, except for the slowdowns in Opera (that might have been fixed by now, but I haven't touched Sugar for a long time). After that playing around for a while, I attempted to build my own module whose functions would replicate those of vt1ger'$ (I already know that one's censored) Orders module using the Module builder. That didn't go so well.

Eventually I caught on to the vt1ger crowd (later leaving them too, for lack of interest and poor support) after finding that it had twice as many modules and additional features that Sugar OS doesn't have. I was fed up with the Sugar business model at that point. Not much later, I lost interest in CRM entirely.

    Hi michaelper22,

Thanks for sharing your experiences. Maybe you'll find CRM usefull at some later point.

    Hi michaelper22,
Every engineer likes to develop a good software, and every customer likes to have a good one too. The software industry is gearing towards a new development fashion, in a trial and error mode, to make these two happy at the same time.

If you, as a customer (I assume), are not happy with this fashion, please let us how this community can improve. Developers will need to respond to your requests, but please don't forget that developers need to be happy too.
