    Default slow website

I am having a bit of an issue with the website that hosts the forurms.

Everytime a new page is loaded, my browser loads the page just fine then sits there for approximately 30 seconds saying transferring data from www.sugarcrm.com. Even moving back and forth between pages does this is.

This seems to be a fairly recent occurence.

Pressing ESC stops the page loading and doesn;t seem to have any impact on the content.

Hi jhamill, I get this when I edit/create forum posts. It appears to be time taken in the drawing of the editor.

Is this your experience, too, or do you get the "Transferring ..." message when viewing? After hitting ESC the content is correct ... right?

    Thanks,

I get this too, just after the new sugarforge changes. Editing or listing, it loads about 80-90% of the page and then just stops for 15-30 seconds, then finishes. This happens when listing new posts, listing a forum, editing/creating a message, whatever.

By the way, there's also a javascript error displaying in Firefox since the forum layout update - 'illegal character' in a regex pattern.

Hi Andy, I am getting this on every new page display. Typically I hit latest posts link, then use the next page link to go through each page.

it has the Transferring message each time for approx 30 secs.

Hitting esc, yes the content is correct.

This is a fairly recent pheonomenon, I think about the time you did the site refresh.

Just a guess, but is there some sort of reverse DNS lookup happening? I've seen delays like this happen in other projects where a reverse DNS lookup fails or times out...

It seems odd, but my home machine (on a cable modem) is MUCH faster then my work machine (T3).. My laptop is also faster here and slower there.... I'll check but I don't seem to be seeing it on other forum sites...

A quick update. Our IT team is working on this. We have a pretty good bead on the cause.

Stay tuned. A fix is coming.

just in case they haven't, it seems to be stats.sugarcrm.com that is slowing me down.
