    Default SugarForge Cleanup

    Suggestion:

Clean up all project that have no files.
There are many projects that were created and never started.

Clean up projects that have not kept pace with version releases.

Sort all projects based on version they support.

It looks impressive when you can advertise the numbers of projects and people, its a let down to see that that there is nothing there. "Sounds like vaporware" SugarCRM has more content than vaporware.

    Thanks

    Hi newmember,

Thanks for the feedback. I generally agree with your suggestions, except for one point. There is value in having projects that work with previous versions, because we have installations still running previous versions of the software. As much as we'd love for everyone to rush to the newest version, the reality is that many installations stay on a release for whatever reason. Having add-ons for those folks is a painless, no-cost plus for them.

We are slowly eliminating projects when we discover that they are dead, but it hasn't been a priority for us. As we wrap up more pressing projects we'll turn towards the "housekeeping" chores. We want to be careful not to kill a project that isn't dead, just dormant or between owners.

    Thanks again for the feedback!
