User IDs on forum corrupted?

I logged onto the forum using my usual User ID and password (the same one I'm using to post this message) and got the message "Welcome JonasB."

The email address associated with the account had also changed so I contacted the owner of the email, he confirmed he had registered on the forum a while ago but had not used it for a long time.

I've now changed the password and email but unable to change the welcome message, it still says "Welcome JonasB" so I suspect that this post will appear to be from that User ID rather than my own.

I tried logging on and off, using both Firefox and Opera. I also clearing the cache on both browsers

Has anyone else had problems?
