    Default Well, I'll begin

As the creator of this forum I have the special privilege of being first to comment on the Sugar web properties:

    Ok, here are my comments.

They're all perfect. Absolutely perfect. Nothing whatsoever to improve.

    I'm sure you agree.

    Hi,
some points which could be better on SugarForge.org:

For the "News" feature: would be great to automatically include the source project name in the news header. Otherwise don't know the project it concerns.

For the "Forum" feature: would be great to allow file attachments - has big advantages for finding errors and seeding discussions.

Generic: please allow HTML for the "Project description", and don't cut it at 250 characters! For some projects it is not so easy to describe what it does within two sentences. maybe for language packs this is ok, but for other projects I need at least headlines, lists and pictures.

ftreml, I've done some digging on the Forums attachment issue you've raised.

I see no setting we've chosen in the administrative screens that disallows attachments site-wide or for the individual user except that only attachments of certain types and sizes are allowed.

Attached (!) are two PNGs that show the Top 5 attachments used in Sugar Forums and the allowed attachment types and sizes.

When you post a reply to a thread (or open a new thread), the Additional Options box should appear under the post's edit box. In Additional Options you should see an "Attach Files" group box and a "Manage Attachments" button. It's there that you identify and upload attachments.

    Hi,
I was talking about the integrated Forum at Sugarforge (for example: http://www.sugarforge.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=87). The Sugar Forum here is fine. Didn't find a way to include attachments at sugarforge.

Would be nice if the sugarforge-Forum supported the same cool HTML editor as this Sugar forum. Currently, only plain text is allowed ...

A "Donate" button for paypal donations would be fine on sugarforge, just as with sourceforge.

    Hi Andy,

I sent your colleague Deepali Mittal some screenshots of the bugs I routinely encounter on the SugarCRM website and Forum. The first time I enter the SugarCRM site, every day, I get redirected to a page that shows a Page Not Found error. Then I retype www.sugarcrm.com and enter without problems.

Similarly, the Forum does not keep me logged in, although it does remember my username and password. So, every day I click the Forum Login button and get redirected to a Page Not Found error. Then I retype www.sugarcrm.com/forums/ and enter corrrectly.

No big deal, the workaround is easy, but it's not a very good user experience. And I would be worried that potential customers try to enter your site, get redirected to the error and go away forever.

These errors have persisted for at least 6 months, although I only got around to informing your webmaster a couple of weeks ago. I use Wiindows XP and Firefox on a Dell laptop. Nothing fancy or unusual.

    Cheers.
