I'm a prospective customer that has done the software demo and give it a huge thumbs up. Quite an amazing achievement for the price. I'm having a hard time believing that the same company created this forum.

I try to register to participate in the forum and each time I click submit the system rejects me because the user name is already taken. AND wipes out everything I entered so I have to start over! This is 2009, not 1999, how can any major company still wipe someones info clean and keep making them start over from scratch?! How about a "check to see if this user name is available" button? At the very least how about not wiping my info clean. Come on guys ! This is basic usability stuff that is known to drive people away. If it was not important for me to participate I would have said "f*ck it" on the very first try and left.

Even harder if you take a look at the copyright notices at the bottom of the page.

SugarCRM (company) uses vBulletin software to provide this forum. It is not something SugarCRM created.

I agree with your point though. It is a valid critique on the usability side of the forum, but at the same time, it is not necessarily a reflection of SugarCRM, the product or company.

For all we know, someone at Sugar may have already inquired about that with the makers of vBulletin long ago.
