Default Pick up your own dog's poop and the poop of another dog.

I was at the dog park the other day. It's a great place, but occasionally you'll find some poop laying around that nobody picked up. In general, there's a common rule of most dog parks that you must pick up your own dog's poop. It got me thinking.

What if for every question posted in the SugarCRM forums, you pick up some poop... I mean, answered two or more questions. It would be a great way of helping others who are in need of help.

Great point - and I'll throw in something on top of that. Answering questions is 10 times more fun that picking up someone else's poop.

I couldn't agree more... Picking up other peoples pet's poop is less than fun, even worse when you stepping in it.

    Draw the analogy.

If it weren't for forums, I wouldn't be where I am today. My technical knowledge started with hanging out on some Linux forums.. I was there to learn, but as I got more involved, I started slowly answering questions... It wasn't long until I really a pro.

Today, I'm really quite proud of the depth of knowledge and it's certainly gotten me a lot. I recommend everyone tries to answers some questions. The result is rewarding.

Well stated by all of you.

In many ways I feel indebted to the many folks I've encountered here and other forums that have been so willing to share their knowledge. I feel it is only fair that I in turn do my part to keep that cycle going as well.

This is part of the reason why people that burst in here and start off their relationship with the forum by criticizing others and/or the product rub me the wrong way sometimes. There is nothing wrong with criticism, but at least be constructive, specially if you are not willing or do not care to help make things better.

Picking up after your own dog is just ordinary goodness. Picking up after the dogs of others is extraordinary. Its a great analogy because it really isn't possible to know the benefit you are giving those to come after, but its a fair certainty that its a gift that keeps on going into eternity.

Great advice, do I have to click on the dog links so that you get paid for that post?

Wow! This thread got going. Maybe I should post a picture of my dog taking a dump too. LOL

Angel, you should read this forum thread on my SugarForge project.

"I find this despicable that removing this package doesn't work and breaks the module loader." - people are amazing sometimes.

This is not a shameless plug for my project , but just a blast from someone. If anyone has a lot of experience with Module Builder, any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Jeff,

I've had the same issues in the past. Even when I put "Beta" in the name some people would install it on a live environment. From looking at your situation you can probably fill in the rest of the details. Afterward I added a dummy disclaimer for those who didn't get what Beta meant. That seemed to keep those types of issues at bay.

I haven't looked but my first guess would be that something is up with the manifest.
