Ah, ok that's good to know. I didn't know it could be THAT easy. But I was looking for a solution that would make the field appear in the Contact module editor. Then it wouldn't be affected by upgrades or when I publish the page. Everything I've read points to changes in vardefs.php, Contact.php, and DetailView.php but none of my changes work.
