I've been using it for years. When myself and my two other business partners started our site a few years ago, the conversation on what it should be called went something like this:

me: Well, maybe it should be a mix of our names
shorty: Yeah, that sounds decent. shorty mediaman primesuspect... hmmmm.
mediaman: short prime media?
me: primeshortmedia?
shorty: suspectmedia short?

etc...

it ended up being short-media.com

my name just didn't fit last year, mediaman departed, so now we are stuck with short-media, and no mediaman

oh well, life goes on.

duckofdeath reminded me of a story I read this weekend. They named a new found duck: "demon ducks of doom". Ok, so it was carniverous (bill and fangs).

The nick actually is formed from the Jerky Boys phone prank that we cried over for a good week at the office.
