If you access your Sugar Installation using FireFox over HTTPS, you can really boost performance.
I have created a set of wiki pages to document how to make these changes to boost performance.

Additional content is most definitely welcome.
Here is the Wiki content as of right now...

One of the factors affecting client side performance is the lack of caching when using HTTPS for your CRM solution.
If you are using FireFox as your browser, by default, it does not cache images for HTTPS connections. Every time you click, it will go back for all 80 images to check and make sure they are up to date, or to refresh them (I am not sure which).
At this point, IE 7 does not appear to have this issue.
Installing FasterFox:
There are two major ways to get FasterFox installed. The quickest, is to go directly to the extension URL and click "Install Now"
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1269/
Using the mechanism normally used to get extensions:
* Open Firefox.
* Go to Tools->Add-Ons
* Make sure the Extensions icon on the top is selected.
* Click Get Extensions
* This "FasterFox" in the search box and run a search
* Click "Install Now"
The default configuration, as of this writing, will automatically decrease the round trips to a sugar installation dramatically.
Turning on file cache for HTTPS
Turning on file caching for HTTPS content will also boost client side performance. This does come at some security risk. Any confidential images, and possibly HTML pages will be stored on your local disk. This option is not available on a per-site basis. Changing this will affect all websites that you visit from within FireFox. I recommend FasterFox, which I believe will only use memory for a cache.
* Open FireFox
* Type in "about:config" as the URL
* Type in "cache" as the filter
* Make sure "browser.cache.disk_cache_ssl" is set to true (double click it to toggle)
The change should take effect immediately.
