I am already on PHP 5
I am not on PHP 5 yet, but I support the move
I am not on PHP 5 yet, and need help to get there
I am not on PHP 5 yet, and I am not sure if I should switch
I have restrictions that force me to stay on PHP 4

Well, it's very obvious that everyone needs to upgrade to php5, apache2 and mysql5. Or are you guys all typing this on Windows 3.11? Come on, it isn't that hard to do, and as system admins already need to install all the security updates regularly, why not new software? Sugar sure is compatible there's no question.
What IS a question, however, is how long Sugar aims to let itself be restricted by a number of old machines. If they want php4, stick to Sugar 4.5...php5 offers things that sugar needs (most of al: class encapsulation), SOAP and SQL enhancements, and Sugar needs to take advantage of it. End that's the end of it.
Not saying don't go php 5.2.x as soon as is sensible - just agreeing it is wise not to rock the boat at this point of the 5.x delivery cycle.
Lampada also votes for PHP 5. We upgraded some time ago with Fedora 5. The only problems were with older Sugar versions, which we also upgraded. We agree with all of the above-mentioned advantages of PHP 5, adding the native support for SOAP and XML to the list. Just yesterday, we used the native SOAP support for a SugarCRM Pro / ERP integration project. It's much better than NuSOAP.
