Exporting CSV files for targets from campaigns makes a lot of sense. It is bug #13165

Hi Jacob, this may possible not be a mainstream developer request, but it may be worth considering to open new markets. A roadmap for a mass SQL based update of data in SugarCRM DB from an external data source would let companies with an existing CRM data master system use SugarCRM as a decision support system. The challenge is in knowing what should be updated in which order (like first accounts then opportunities, then tasks or first accounts then tasks, then opportunitites etc.) Also how to keep the changes made by users in SugarCRM intact or even propagate them back to the master system. (for instance the account merges, or the changes in the contact details)

There's a reason we use computers, and performing the same mindless action over and over again isn't one of them.
I would be interested in hearing more details of your thoughts for this feature. We have the ability to mass import from CSV files already in the product. We also have the ability to report on recent changes by leveraging the SOAP API, or to capture changes as they are committed to the system using the business logic hooks.
