Everybody, there is a new Contributions category in SugarExchange. We set this up in response to rickcrites' terrific suggestion in this thread and brought up again in this one.
You'll see under the Contributions category a sample listing for Grace Hopper, a fictitious Sugar community member. Grace is representative of that dedicated Sugar community member who toils away on weekends posting and developing to the wee hours. Now, with her listing, Grace can receive contributions from other Sugar community members who have benefited from Grace's efforts.
Since the contribution takes place entirely between the contributor and the recipient of the largess, SugarCRM receives absolutely nothing from the transaction. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
All Grace had to do was set up a SugarForge project that represents her. By tying that project to the ecommerce engine inherent in SugarExchange, Grace is now open for business.
She can now accept contributions from the Sugar community.
Question is: will the Sugar community be willing to chip in some cash?
(Of course, Grace is a mere sample representing a dedicated Sugar community member. We will not allow contributions for Grace.)
