Default How to write on the Wiki

    Hi,
Julian asked me to transpose to the Wiki a walkthrough I wrote on how to build dynamic dropdowns in Sugar 5.
Can anybody give me hints on where I should put this stuff?
    What section of the Wiki
Useful stuff put in the wrong place is not so useful anymore.

    Thanks.

    Hey DragonflyMaster,

Looking at the main page of the Developer Wiki (http://www.sugarcrm.com/wiki/index.p...Developer_Wiki), I'm seeing a few choices here:

    # 1 Getting Started as a Sugar Developer
    # 2 Customizing Sugar
    # 3 Module Development
    # 4 Performance and Scalability
    # 5 Configuration and Installation
    # 6 Reference

Of those, I'd probably choose the general 'Customizing Sugar' heading. Click the 'Edit' link next to Customizing Sugar, then add a line like this to the bottom of the page:

    Code:
    *[[Building Dynamic Dropdowns]]
Save the page, then visit it again. You'll find a red link has been added-- click that, and you'll begin editing your own article. If you're not sure about how to use the wiki markup, find other pages on the wiki that you can use as an example (I still do that every time, haha).

    Hi Julian,

I wrote the walkthrough in the wiki
    You can see it here.
I could add something about creating more than two dynamic dropdowns, what do you think?

Looks great! Thanks for linking back to the original forum post too.

The more information you can post, the better-- it looks like I'd be able to create two or more dynamic dropdowns based on your instructions.

What I wrote in the Wiki works with 2 dropdowns only, but adding a couple of variables I was able to cascade a third dropdown, so basically you can use as many dropdown as you need.
I'm gonna add further instructions as soon as possible.
